Autodesk crispin engineer pro 20174/27/2023 ![]() ![]() If I were you, I would do it in the source surface file. This is why I don't think Inventor has a reliable workflow to do exactly you are hoping for this particular case. However, this process can be tedious and it can change the surface further, deviating from the source. You can use Merge Edges command to connect all pieces into one. It may not be acceptable.ģ) The resultant Freeform bodies are still individual pieces. I am not sure how tight or accurate you are looking for. The deviation is small but it does exist depending the complexity of the source face. You could use 3D Sketch -> Curve on Face to create curves to split the faces.Ģ) The resultant Freeform bodies may deviate from the original faces slightly. If a given face has a round loop or more than 4 sides, you will need to split the face first before converting it to Freeform. I had tried it but I did not get satisfying result due to the following reasons.ġ) Freeform Convert only works on 4-sided or 3-sided trimmed surface. In Inventor, you could try using Freeform Convert workflow to convert the faces to Freeform body. ![]() I am not a way to convert these trimmed surfaces into a piece of trimmed surface easily. This foot model was created by multiple smooth trimmed surfaces. Hi! The lines you are seeing on the surface are called trim loops. ![]()
